Terms of Use

These terms govern the use of the Cerne app, offered by [RAZÃO SOCIAL], tax ID [CNPJ] ("Cerne", "we"). By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app. The Privacy Policy is part of these terms.

1. What Cerne is, and what it is not

Cerne is a self-knowledge and practice app. You talk about what is weighing on you, it keeps your sentences, writes conclusions from them (always with the quotes, and only closed when you confirm) and turns what you discovered into daily practice.

Cerne is not therapy, not psychological care, not a medical or emergency service, and does not replace a professional. It does not diagnose and does not advise. If you are suffering, look for a psychologist. If your life is at risk, call your local emergency number or crisis line (in the US, call or text 988; in Brazil, 188). When the app detects a risk signal in what you write, it ends the conversation and shows those contacts; that is a limit of the product, not care.

2. Minimum age

Cerne is for people 18 and older. By creating an account you declare that you are 18 or older. Accounts of minors are deleted when identified.

3. Your account

You can sign in with Apple, Google or email and password. The account is personal and non-transferable; you are responsible for keeping access to it protected. Your material lives on your device and in a synced copy linked to your account, for restoring on another device (Privacy Policy, section 2.2).

4. Artificial intelligence

The conclusions, the revelations, the voice, the image and the letter are generated by language and image models operated by third parties, from what you write. Before the first conversation the app asks for your explicit permission to send your text to those models, and you can refuse or withdraw the permission later. Model-generated content can be wrong, incomplete or make no sense to you: that is why every conclusion requires your confirmation, and every answer can be flagged from inside the app. You are the only authority on what is yours.

5. Subscription, free trial and renewal

Cerne offers a 7-day free trial. After it, full use requires a subscription, monthly or yearly, purchased and charged by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play, at the prices shown in the store at the time of purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the same price, until you cancel it in your store account settings, at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancellation applies to the following period; there is no pro-rated refund of the current period, except as the store's policy determines. Prices may change; the store notifies you before charging a new amount.

What was given stays. If the subscription ends, what you dug, revealed and wrote stays on your device and remains available to read and export. What gets locked is what has not happened yet: new complete digs, new revelations and new practices.

6. Your content

Everything you write is yours. You grant us only the license needed for the app to work: storing your material, syncing it across your devices and sending it to the model providers under the conditions of the Privacy Policy. We do not use your content for advertising, do not sell it and do not use it to train any model. You can export everything and delete everything at any time, from inside the app.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Cerne to break the law, to attack or overload the service, to try to extract or bypass the model, the prompts and the app's limits, or for content that violates third-party rights. We may limit use when it exceeds reasonable daily call caps, to protect the service and its cost.

8. Intellectual property

The app, the Cerne brand, the design, the interface texts, the rings and the conversation engine are ours or licensed to us. These terms transfer no rights over them beyond personal use of the app.

9. Availability and warranties

We do our best to keep the service up, but it is offered "as is". We depend on third-party providers (stores, hosting, models), and their unavailability can affect the app. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the app. Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer under applicable law.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time (step by step at Delete your account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when the law allows. On termination, the deletion periods of the Privacy Policy apply.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes, and relevant changes are announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that means agreeing to the new text.

12. Law and venue

These terms follow Brazilian law. Disputes are resolved in the courts of the consumer's domicile, without prejudice to what the law of your country guarantees.
